A group of commercial and industrial enterprises in Ukraine has developed and produces humic peat extract at its own production base.
The developed material is widely used in the field of ecology in the mining and metallurgical complex of Ukraine. Depending on the production method, material composition and brand, EGT "IDEAL" Ⓡ is used for dust suppression at tailings and sludge storages of mining and beneficiation plants, purification of mine water from alkaline earth metal ions, reduction of water hardness, dust and gas suppression during the production of mass explosions. The technology of dust suppression consists in treating the dusty surface of the tailings storage with an aqueous solution of EGT "IDEAL"Ⓡ. As a result of processing, after drying, a strong film is formed, which prevents the formation of a dust cloud. Under the conditions of PJSC "PivnHZK", the Research Institute of Labor Safety and Ecology in the Mining and Metallurgical Industry (Kryvyi Rih) conducted a study of the effectiveness of the "IDEAL" EGT in dust suppression. (Table 1).

Similar studies were carried out in the conditions of PrJSC "Inguletskiy GZK", PJSC "PGZK" and currently EGT "IDEAL" Ⓡ confirmed the obtained results
is used on an industrial scale at these enterprises for dust suppression in tailings. Studies of the properties of EGT "IDEAL"Ⓡ, carried out at NMetAU (Dnipro), as well as NIIBTG (Kryvyi Rih) showed their identity with humate solutions and the possibility of using it as a dust-gasifier in the production of mass explosions in quarries. The aqueous solution of EGT "IDEAL" is placed in a polyethylene sleeve, which covers the charge, or before the explosion, the intended explosive array is treated. Due to its high adhesiveness, the reagent binds dust, heavy metal ions and gaseous products (CO, NOx, SO2), thereby reducing the concentration of harmful impurities in the air, soil and water. Thus, the efficiency of neutralization of harmful gases of EHT "IDEAL" for carbon monoxide (CO) is 23-31%, for sulfur oxide (SO2) 58.8-64.4%. Studies conducted by the specialized environmental laboratory of PrJSC "CGZK" showed that the introduction of EGT "IDEAL" into the water of the "Gigant-deep" mine (B-4) in the amount of 50 mg/l, allows to reduce the content of calcium ions by 100 times, this leads to a decrease in the hardness of the water itself. Adding it to technical water of PJSC "PivnHZK" in an amount of up to 10mg/l allows to reduce the total hardness by 1.5-2.0 times. (Table 2)

In addition, EHT "IDEAL" reduces the content of Ca and Mg ions in water, prevents the formation of a dense layer of Ca and Mg carbonate scale when heating water, which is used in the closed cycle cooling system of elements of metallurgical units. EGT "IDEAL" is a water-soluble polymer, the reactivity of which allows to intensify the binding processes of not only Ca2+ and Mg2+ ions, but also carbonate ions into compounds (humates). Calcium and magnesium humates are released in the form of very loose layers-like precipitates and further form easily mobile sludges. This allows you to reduce heat loss during water heating by 20÷40%. The consumption of EGT "IDEAL" is up to 10 ml per 1 liter and is determined by the hardness of the water used for heating. Adding the specified amount of EHT "IDEAL" allows you to reduce the amount of carbonate scale from 364 mg/l to 76 mg/l, which ensures an increase in the service life of the units, and a reduction in emergency downtime. In the conditions of "Pobuzhsky Nickel Plant" LLC, the introduction of EGT "IDEAL" in the amount of 1% of the weight of the original ore into the composition of nickel-containing charges made it possible to reduce the dust content in the gases produced during ore drying by 53%. Similar dust suppression results were achieved during dust treatment of the surfaces of sludge storage facilities, roadsides (including within the city limits), during loading and unloading operations. In the coal and coke-chemical industries, the processing of dust-like fractions of carbon-containing materials by EGT "IDEAL" ensures reduction of dust emission during overloading, transportation and storage to the required MPC. When processing tailings of coal enrichment with an aqueous solution of EGT "IDEAL", their self-heating and ignition during storage in terrycones is prevented.
